The course packages say that the ring will be cast in sterling silver. Is there any way to choose an alternate metal?
Yes. We offer bronze casting at no additional cost. You can specify this request when you send your wax back to us. We also provide casting services in white and yellow gold. The cost to upgrade to gold is dependent on the weight of your wax as well as you carat preference (10k, 14k or 18k).
How will I know that the ring I carve is the correct size?
Our online curriculum will cover several options for ensuring the correct ring size. We understand the complexity and importance of this task.
What if I have an idea for a ring but am not sure I want to carve it myself?
House of Rings offers custom ring design and carving services. Please see our custom ring page for more information.
How do I know which of the course packages to purchase?
The most common choice is Tier II. This package works well for those with little to no experience carving wax rings. Tier I is for people who have limited experience and also want extra support in their process. Tier III is our most basic package and is only for those who have their own wax carving tools and intermediate level experience.
